Whereas most other locations were merely dreary, the Asylum was a veritable warehouse of grisly sights and unspeakable scenes. para My primary task was to reach the top floor, where I was certain the alchemy lab was located. To my dismay, however, the top floor required an elevator key, so my access was limited to the first floor and basement. Dissatisfied, I started a search for the key. para In one room I found a row of severed heads mounted upon machines. These heads would speak when an electrical current was applied. None of the present heads had anything useful to say, but in the basement of the Asylum, in a metal tray, there was another body. Locke must complete numerous quests and explore the island and its mountain caves, all the while gleaning tidbits of his former life. In the end, Locke becomes fully aware of his past, and understands why the town doesn't exactly embrace him as savior.

Preserving Classic Adventures Project (PreCAP) Last changed back home top what's the plan? The project tries to preserve classic adventure games , for all computer systems from the early home computers like the TRS-80 Model I via the classics ( Apple II C-64 Sinclair Spectrum ...) to the 16-bit ones ( Amiga Mac , IBM PC...). Adventure games are "classic" by our definition if they are at least five years old and no longer commercially available (excluding the second hand market!) These games have been abandoned by their authors and distributors, and if no efforts are made to preserve them they will disappear irrevocably. PreCAP attempts to be a "library" for these games: preserving them for future reference and, hopefully, the enjoyment of adventure gamers. All the games will be transfered from original disks. Just as libraries do not collect badly xeroxed copies of books with pages missing, PreCAP is not interested in old cracks that have gone through a hundred hands, losing a few disk sectors to bit rot or worthless "fast copy" programs along the way. With a breakout clone or a platform game this isn't much of a problem: play it from start to finish and you'll know whether the copy is okay or not. But you can play an adventure game from beginning to end without ever encountering the buggy part . It is simply impossible to check every action in an adventure game. Due to their complexity the only way to guarantee that they are 100% correct is not to use pirated copies at all.
