Introduction
Features of Africa
Africa is the second-largest continent , after Asia, covering 30,330,000 sq km; about 22% of the total land area of the Earth. It measures about 8,000 km from north to south and about 7,360 km from east to west. The highest point on the continent is Mt. Kilimanjaro - Uhuru Point - (5,963 m/19,340 ft) in Tanzania. The lowest is Lake 'Asal (153 m/502 ft below sea level) in Djibouti. The Forests cover about one-fifth of the total land area of the continent.
The Woodlands, bush lands, grasslands and thickets occupy about two-fifth.
And the Deserts and their extended margins have the remaining two-fifths of African land. World's longest river : The River Nile drains north-eastern Africa, and, at 6,650 km (4,132 mi), is the longest river in the world. It is formed from the Blue Nile, which originates at Lake Tana in Ethiopia, and the White Nile, which originates at Lake Victoria. World's second largest lake : Lake Victoria is the largest lake in Africa and the is the world's second-largest freshwater lake - covering an area of 69,490 sq km (26,830 sq mi) and lies 1,130 m (3,720 ft) above sea level. KARIBU! WELCOME TO TANZANIA! In East Africa, close to the Equator lies Tanzania, a magnificent country with its large nature parks and snowy mountain peaks. Mount Kilimanjaro, attaining an altitude of 6,000 meters, attracts hikers. The savannas are expected to become a great asset for tourism. On a safari you can have an experience of untouched nature with wild animals. Signs of westernization can be seen in urban areas. Coca Cola stalls and "The best pizza in Africa" advertisements tell about changing cuisine. Tanganyika was colonized by Germany from 1891 until World War II, and became a UK-administered United Nations protectorate after the war. The country became independent in 1961. Since 1964, when Tanganyika and Zanzibar were united, the country is called Tanzania. For a long time, Tanzania was realizing so called "African socialism" which included a comprehensive rural development programme called ujamaa. It should be remembered that socialism in Tanzania was not atheistic. The first multi-party elections were held in 1995. These elections did not, however, bring full democracy; the opposition and its activities have been disturbed here and there.

On the whole, initiation rites, whether into social maturity or cult membership, best exemplify transition, since they have well-marked and protracted marginal or liminal phases. —Victor Turner, Betwixt and Between: The Liminal Period in Rites des Passage When an African girl [c]omes of age, she is initiated into womanhood. This form of education is practiced in many parts of Africa. In the process the girl dies, and the woman is born. That is the concept behind most African initiation ceremonies, known in Tanzania as Unyago —Marie Shaba and Davie Kituru

If present-day Politically Correct head-in-the-sand "knowledge" is anything to go by, the negro is very much the same as a White Man. However, anyone with just half a brain left will tell you that that can't be so. After all, there are just too many obvious differences. "But," says the liberal bleeding-heart useless idiot, "it's quite clear that the African American or any other kind of black — whether from Africa or not, and whether really black or just one of the shades of brown, and whether pure-blooded or of mixed-blood — is simply a White Man caught in a black skin. And, brother," and here the voice is set to tremble a little, "it is our christianist duty to help him get out of that black skin and take his rightful place among the people of this earth. And, brother, let me tell you more: We have been holding them back and we should give them human rights."
