I was an educator in my local school district for the past 15 years and the mother of two fine "exceptional" children. My daughter, Jessica was identified as gifted & talented and son, Jeremy was diagnosed with C.P. and multiple other disabilities. With these two opposites types of children, my husband and I believe that we are "blessed" with the best of both worlds. We have lived in Texas for over 20 years and we never knew or even believed that there were parents such as ourselves, who on a daily basis needed advice, questions to be answered or most of all someone to share our inner most feelings with. As a parent and educator I have always been my children's advocate, having been with Partners Resource over the last several months, I feel as though the more educated and informed a parent can be, will always be a valuable and vital tool for all parents of children with disabilities.
