    Centuries of committment to quality..
In England, during the second half of the nineteenth century, the entrepreneurial class which had developed with the Industrial Revolution was looking to new worlds created by the expansion of the British Empire, North and South America, Africa, Asia and the Far East: in the footsteps of pioneers and explorers British businessmen were turning to the new business opportunities. In order to protect these first investors against unscrupulous or unprofessional transactions, reliable information from market operators was needed. Accounts became the key to understanding a company's good health and, simultaneously, a new professional figure emerged: the auditor. In the midst of the great entrepreneurial development a pioneer of the profession started operation: William Welch Deloitte, grandson of the French Count de Loitte, who escaped from France during the French Revolution. In 1845, at the age of 25, William opened his first office and contributed to the development of the profession which, in 1854, received its crowning recognition with the incorporation by Royal Charter of the Society of Accountants in Edinburgh, the first officially recognised association of accountants in the world. Messrs Deloitte and Touche rightly number among the personalities who contributed most to formulating the professional and ethical standards to which accounting firms all over the world adhere today.

The third court contains the Audience Hall of the sultan, the Library of Sultan Ahmet III, an exhibition of robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury and lastly, an exhibition of miniatures. In the centre of the third court is the Pavilion of the Holy Mantle enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. The most important part is the vast reception salon, with 56 columns, and a huge, seven hundred and fifty bulbs, crystal chandelier weighing 4.5 tons. The architecture of the Harem is a stark contrast to that of the rest of the palace. The Bird Pavilion, where birds from all over the world were kept, is unique to this palace. Kas - H istory Habesos or Habesa in the ancient tongue of Lycia Antiphellos was the name of Kas and one of the oldest settlements in the region of Lycia. The rock-cut tombs to the north-east of the town date to the 4th century B.C. the acropolis of the ancient city, lies a rock tomb formed like a Doric structure with Doric triglyphs on the facade. Inside the tomb is to be found a frieze of dancing female figures. The acropolis was surrounded by a fortified wall, of which traces are to be seen on the facade facing the island of Meis (Hellenic island Kastellorizon). In the Hellenic Period, when the Pergamum King Attalos II turned over his territory to the Romans in 133 B.C., Rome gained control over Anatolia. In addition to the immense territory around the Mediterranean that they governed, the Romans had also established rich city states in regions such as Egypt, the Palestine, Syria and Anatolia. Together with the Roman state concept came social, economic and political conditions, which all gained large dimensions for art. As for the fact that Eastern Mediterranean cities becoming Roman states, they blended in with previously existing local sculptural and architectural traditions for balanced richness. Amongst the large statues that decorated the monumental buildings were figures of gods, loved, powerful leaders and the aristocracy. The Roman Empire was made up of free cities. For this reason, as many Anatolian cities informed Rome of their loyalty and friendship, the Roman Emperors would pay visits to these cities. It was for this reason that Roman Emperors were perhaps better known in Anatolia than back in Rome. During this period, large buildings were being built in Anatolian cities, not on hills as they used to be, but in places supported with rows of arches. In the Roman period, many of the theaters were also built in the same fashion. The two-storied walls forming the theater stage were a characteristic of Roman architecture. In the Hellenic Period, the orchestra pit was shaped like a horseshoe, whereas it was transformed into

The History of The Turkey Bowl
It all started around June 1996 when a fellow co-worker, Kevin Karrells , came up with the idea of having a football game with people that worked at Hansen's Piggly Wiggly in Saukville, WI. The first Turkey Bowl , on Thanksgiving Day 1996, came about. It wasn't a very big game, not many people showed up, but it shot up from there. Then we decided to have another game on Christmas Eve. So the Santa bowl was created. That had a better show-up rate then the Turkey Bowl, but it wasn't very organized. Well, Kevin Karrells quit around May, so aother fellow co-worker picked up the slack.

    History:
The Byzantine state never fully recovered, and on many occasions during the next three centuries a final defeat was only prevented by the disunity of its enemies and, particularly, by the massive fortifications of the city of Constantinople. The conquest of Constantinople in 1204 - the only time the fortifications were breached - was followed by one of the most savage and rapacious sacks of any city in the history of the world: the treasures of Byzantium were beyond count or value, and many priceless works of art were removed to Europe (mainly to Venice) during this time.
The Byzantines set up a rival capital at Nicea until Constantinople was retaken in 1261, but by this time the empire had effectively lost control of most of its territories, and by the 14th century, Byzantine control of Asia Minor was little more than an empty theory. From the 11th century onwards, the Asiatic area of Turkey known as Anatolia had also been affected by upheavals and conquests from the east. Successive invasions from Central Asia led to the Islamic Turkification of the region, the real power fast becoming the Ottomans', a name derived from their 14th-century leader Osman Gazi, who scored a decisive victory against the Byzantines at the Battle of Baphaeon in 1301.
They steadily expanded their territorial control from Turkey itself, constructing the Ottoman Empire, which at its zenith in the mid-16th century (a period associated with the reign of Suleyman the Magnificent) covered south-east Europe, including the Balkans and Hungary; North Africa as far as Morocco; the Crimea and Georgia; the Levant; Syria; Iraq; and most of the Arabian peninsula. The most famous conquest, from a symbolic and strategic point of view, was that of Constantinople itself in 1453; with its fall, the Roman Empire, in a strictly legalistic sense, finally came to an end. The territorial ambitions of the Ottomans regarding control of the Mediterranean and Central Europe brought the empire into conflict with the major European powers of the day, particularly the Habsburgs.

Let someone else tell you..... There is a swedish book Seglingar Antiken Vatten (Sailing in Antique Waters). The book describes this bay and this very pension and restaurant. Although written ten years ago the atmosphere is still the same or better. Sailing in Antique Waters The coast between Palamut and Datca is dotted with small bays that give acceptable shelter from the prevailing Westerly and North-westerly summer winds. Four nautical miles to the east of Palamut, behind the protruding rocky Adatepe Burnu lies Ova Buku situated in a beautiful surrounding of green meadows, simple farmsteads and three small restaurants down by the water. This place has many fond names; Heikall calls it Kalabaloshi, the German couple Andrea Horn and Wyn Hoop title it Ova Buku in their pilot and our Turkish sea chart calls it Mesudiye Buku, as do the local inhabitants. My Yachting friend Hugo Tiberg has fallen in love with Kalabaloshi and with the siblings Ogun and Semra who have a restaurant there. He speaks of them in an issue of Odysse:
