This "Home Page" and all links and files are updated weekly. Page down for all our links. If you browse through our various pages you will find a link that takes you on an informational tour, with pictures, of the many species of wildlife found here in the Maritime Provinces and in particular, Nova Scotia. The files have a real good start on many species, but it will be added to almost on a daily basis. If you find the page that links you to these extra information pages, tell a friend - better yet, tell your children - I'm sure they would be able to use the pages for school research and also for learning about our local wildlife on their own. What is an Advocate? An Advocate is any person, of any age, race or background who has a deep respect, admiration and awe of the out-doors and nature. An Advocate is any person who believes and understands that all of nature's wonders are of equal importance, no matter how small they seem and that each is connected to the other in some way. An Advocate asks "What can I do to improve, maintain and protect these special things?" ...and then does it.

Special Appearances Welcome to the website home of Moose Peterson. I started this website 8 years ago for one very simplistic reason, to furnish wildlife photographers with information to make the most of their photographic pursuits. Much has changed over those eight year besides just the website design! I was shooting with the F4e when I first launched the site. The F5 came along shortly thereafter and along with it our now infamous F5 website D1 Generation and the eBook The D100 and D1 Generation Update . Producing books not only takes time but for me at least, quickly removes the desire to write even more technical material for the website. Lastly, much of the digital content I have generated is has been for our sister site

S afi is a Swahili word originally meaning "clean." Today, a closer translation is "splendid" or "wonderful." At Safi Safaris, we bring all our experience and knowledge to bear to create African safaris that match these superlatives. At Safi, we focus exclusively on Tanzania , a country rich in breathtaking scenery, unparalleled numbers of wild animals and birds, not to mention friendly and hospitable people. Our safaris give you the chance to find the peace as well as the excitement of Africa. From our 4WD Land Cruisers and Land Rovers you will get close to a huge variety of wildlife. Imagine yourself looking on as three lionesses stalk a Cape buffalo. Contemplate life's meaning amongst a herd of 100 elephants, watching as a new mother, massive tusks piercing the air, gently nudges her 300-pound son to his feet to suckle. Meet our closest relatives, the chimpanzees, by the sparkling waters of Africa's largest lake (Victoria) and deepest lake (Tanganyika). Before your safari, summit Kilimanjaro, reaching Uhuru Peak at 19,340 feet and know that you're on the roof of Africa. Relax on a pristine beach by the warm Indian Ocean, dolphins frolicking in the water just offshore. Savor the smells and sounds of Africa's unspoiled savanna and meet some of the local people.

Wild cats-2-Birds- ... New Page Title Hello, my name is Salim Amir Shaikh Welcome to the Information superhighway on the Wild, Here, you will find complete resources on the Wild. If you wont find it here you wont find it elsewhere. I have dedicated my website to one of my passions; and that is saving the animals of this planet!! I believe that knowledge is power!! If we don't know about something, then we can't do anything about it, but once we DO know, then it is our responsibility to do something about it!! My primary goal is to educate us all about the problems that our wildlife encounters, and hopefully together we CAN do something positive about it!! I believe that each individual on this planet CAN make a difference in this life, and I hope throughout this site, together WE can make a difference.
Artic region.
I would like to say about the artic region first as I am much impressed by the artic animals. The world has many different animals. In the Arctic we have many animals that are unique to the north that we would like to tell you about. I have chosen some of the most unique arctic animals there are. I have stories to read, great pictures of the animals, interesting facts to share, and some fun activities to do.The Arctic is an exciting place full of animals and people. There are many types of animals that have their own habitat and it isn't all frozen. The animals vary in size and characteristics.

WILDLIFE ECOLOGY Distribution and Reproductive Status of Grassland Birds with respect to Condition of Grassland Habitat in Virginia Amy L. Meehan and Carola A. Haas The most precipitous declines in populations of songbirds in the eastern U.S. have been xhibited not by forest interior migrants, but by species that breed in grassland or shrubland habitats, according to data from Breeding Bird Survey routes. Many of these species were native to the extensive pine savannas that occupied much of the southeastern coastal plain and to the open habitat that occurred in the Shenandoah Valley. In the summer of 1996 we began preliminary field work to determine the breeding status in Virginia of several species of grassland bird, including upland sandpiper, Bachman's sparrow, and Henslow's sparrow. We documented presence of upland sandpiper and Bachman's sparrow in the state during the breeding season. We began work on a more common grassland species, the grasshopper sparrow, to determine the usefulness of a reproductive index to assess site quality.
