John Fitzgerald Kennedy My interest in the JFK Assassination began in the early 70s when I read Six Seconds in Dallas by Josiah Thompson. That book started me on a quest for every book, magazine and article I could find and find them, buy them, and read them I did. By the armloads. I have a large collection of books, magazines, articles, reports, newsletters, CDs, records, misc., etc. Over the years I've never lost interest, although the time I devote to reading and staying current with the latest findings has tapered off. I still try to stay on top of it, but I no longer have the time I had when I was younger I'm down to an hour or two a day, when lucky, rather than several. ;-) When I gained access to the WWW in March, 1995, the first search I did was for JFK assassination links. Didn't find much during that first search. (I developed this site and named it JFK Resources Online one year later March, 1996.) Everyone fascinated with the compelling Kennedy story knows there is never enough information available. We are all continually searching for new sources, new material, some previously undisclosed fact or incident any bit of information which would shed further light on this unique man, his life, his presidency and most intriguing of all his death. I can't tell you who planned the assassination, nor who fired the shots. Nobody can with any certainty except the guilty. But I

John F. Kennedy
Early Life
Congressman and Senator
In 1946, Kennedy ran successfully for a Boston-based seat in the U.S. House of Representatives; he was reelected in 1948 and 1950. As a congressman he backed social legislation that benefited his working-class constituents. Although generally supporting President Harry S. Truman's foreign policies, he criticized what he considered the administration's weak stand against the Communist Chinese. Kennedy continued to advocate a strong, anti-Communist foreign policy throughout his career. Restless in the House, Kennedy challenged incumbent Republican senator Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., in 1952. Although the Republican presidential candidate, Dwight D. Eisenhower, won in Massachusetts as well as the country as a whole, Kennedy showed his remarkable vote-getting appeal by defeating Lodge. A year later, on Sept. 12, 1953, Kennedy married Jacqueline Bouvier. The couple had three children: Caroline Bouvier (b. Nov. 27, 1957), John Fitzgerald, Jr. (b. Nov. 25, 1960), and a second son who died in infancy in August 1963. Kennedy was a relatively ineffectual senator. During parts of 1954 and 1955 he was seriously ill with back ailments and was therefore unable to play an important role in government. Critics observed that he made no effort to oppose the anti-civil libertarian excesses of Sen. Joseph R. McCarthy of Wisconsin. His friends later argued, not entirely persuasively, that he would have voted to censure McCarthy if he had not been hospitalized at the time. During his illness Kennedy worked on a book of biographical studies of American political heroes. Published in 1956 under the title Profiles in Courage, it won a Pulitzer Prize for biography in 1957. Like his earlier book on English foreign policy, it revealed his admiration for forceful political figures. This faith in activism was to become a hallmark of his presidency.

"Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable."
John F. Kennedy, March 12, 1962 (BIO #1) John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, on May 29, 1917, the second son of financier Joseph P. Kennedy, who served as ambassador to Great Britain during the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt. He graduated from Harvard University in 1940, winning note with the publication of Why England Slept, an expansion of his senior thesis on Britain's lack of preparedness for World War II. His own part in the war was distinguished by bravery. In August 1943, as commander of the U.S. Navy torpedo boat PT-109, he rescued several crewmen after the boat was rammed by a Japanese destroyer off the Solomon Islands.
Early Political Success
Returning home to Boston with a citation for valor, the rich and ambitious young veteran joined the Democratic party and successfully ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1946. Massachusetts voters elected him to the U.S. Senate in 1952. In 1953 he married Jacqueline Bouvier; they were the parents of two children who survived infancy, Caroline Bouvier and John F., Jr.. During recuperation from spinal surgery, Kennedy completed Profiles in Courage (1956), biographical sketches of political heroes, for which he won a Pulitzer Prize in 1957.

Kennedy, John Fitzgerald (1917-1963)
John F. Kennedy was born 29 May 1917 to a politically prominent, wealthy Boston family. As a child, Kennedy enjoyed the privileges of an elite education, eventually graduating from Harvard University in 1938. After serving in the Navy during World War II, Kennedy followed his father's entry into politics. Following three terms in the House of Representatives, Kennedy won a Senate seat in 1952. Kennedy remained in the Senate for eight years and in 1960, secured the Democratic Party's nomination for president. The 1960 presidential campaign, which pitted Kennedy against Richard Nixon, proved to be one of the closest elections in U.S. history, one in which Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights movement played a pivotal role. After King's 1960 arrest in Georgia, Kennedyfollowing the recommendations of campaign advisorscalled Coretta King to offer his support and used his influence to secure King's release from Reidsville Prison. As a result, Kennedy garnered a large amount of support from the black community. While King chose to remain publicly impartial, he privately voiced support for Kennedy. On election day, Kennedy defeated Nixon by less than 1% of the popular vote, a margin of victory that highlighted the importance of African-American support. Immediately after his election, Kennedy proceeded cautiously with respect to civil rights. Despite pleas from King and other civil rights leaders for federal intervention during the controversy surrounding the

On July 22, at 11.30 P.M. EST, Mat Marriott posted the last message, immediately deleted by CNN Staff. A few minutes later all the other 13 messages (on the puzzling questions, see below) posted during the previous 24 hours were also deleted. Please keep in mind that
  • CNN stands also (totally justified) for Clinton News Network CNN has been tolerating that a few handles keep posting on the board insulting the Kennedy family and the memory of JFK. Jr.. Jeffrey Warren posted a few messages alerting CNN for this, with no effect. Some posts were deleted, but only after they were no more in the current (last) page. What Jeffrey Warren does not know : these are the same people who keep posting in the Kosovo board over and over the same Clinton propaganda (for instance G. Brougham). the question about the "the forces of evil" (see below), posted several times (starting with message #106), remained unanswered !!!

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Mass., on May 29, 1917. His father, Joseph P. Kennedy, was Ambassador to Great Britain from 1937 to 1940. Kennedy was graduated from Harvard University in 1940 and joined the Navy the next year. He became skipper of a PT boat that was sunk in the Pacific by a Japanese destroyer. Although given up for lost, he swam to a safe island, towing an injured enlisted man. After recovering from a war-aggravated spinal injury, Kennedy entered politics in 1946 and was elected to Congress. In 1952, he ran against Senator Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., of Massachusetts, and won. Kennedy was married on Sept. 12, 1953, to Jacqueline Lee Bouvier, by whom he had three children: Caroline, John Fitzgerald, Jr., and Patrick Bouvier (died in infancy). In 1957 Kennedy won the Pulitzer Prize for a book he had written earlier, Profiles in Courage. After strenuous primary battles, Kennedy won the Democratic presidential nomination on the first ballot at the 1960 Los Angeles convention. With a plurality of only 118,574 votes, he carried the election over Vice President Richard M. Nixon and became the first Roman Catholic president. In his domestic policies, Kennedy's proposals for medical care for the aged, expanded area redevelopment, and aid to education were defeated, but on minimum wage, trade legislation, and other measures he won important victories.

It would have been so easy for him just to write a check. People who write checksat least those of the size he could affordnibble foie gras at fancy fund raisers and cut ribbons at buildings named for them. Checks are simple. But John Kennedy Jr. never took a simple path to public service. Not at 15, when he and his cousin Timothy Shriver trekked to Guatemala to help earthquake survivors rebuild. Not in his 20s, when he helped devise a program to improve treatment for the disabled that started in gritty New York City neighborhoods and is now being copied overseas. And not when a charity he worked with wanted to know how kids in a drug-prevention program were faring, and Kennedy went to talk with some himself. In many ways he embodied a new, entrepreneurial kind of Kennedy philanthropy. It doesn't diminish the Shrivers' Special Olympics or Jacqueline Onassis' fund raising for Grand Central Terminal to note that John practiced a hands-on generosity that reflects a younger generation of givers, folks impressed more by proved outcomes than by black-tie benefits.

    * It's All About the Benjamins * [by Becca] I stared at the t.v., tightly gripping the remote control as I sat in an armchair. I flipped channels desperately as tears clouded my vision. It was everywhere - inescapable. Finally accepting defeat in my attempt to escape the reality of the situation, I settled on one station, where a reporter was standing by at the scene of the tragic accident. The cold stillness of the dark sky was interrupted by the flashing lights of emergency vehicles that were in plain view of the camera. “It is my unfortunate duty,” the reporter began, “to inform you of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. Details of the crash in the tunnel,” he gestured towards the fateful structure, “are not yet known. A witness called 911, at which point Dodi was pronounced dead. However, Diana was still alive. She was rushed to the hospital, where she died during surgery. As you can see by the scene behind me...” I sat that night in my parents’ bedroom, tears falling silently down my cheeks. I had never met her, but I knew of her incredible generosity and her contributions to charities and causes. My predictions proved correct, as coverage of the Princess’ death continued for at least a month. Magazines, news programs, television shots; they were all dedicated to Diana. Two years later, we are faced with a similar situation. Images of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Jr., his wife, and her sister are plastered everywhere. News stations offer extended coverage. Special editions of t.v. shows are broadcast on every channel. Magazines offer special commemorative issues. A big thank you to the media for their coverage of this story. However, I believe it is time to stop. The Kennedy family has fascinated our nation for many, many years. John F. Kennedy, Jr. has been a part of many peoples’ lives. There is no better testament to the fact that our nation needs a break from coverage and time to heal than the image of Dan Wrather’s face as he read a quote from John F. Kennedy and, after twelve straight hours of coverage of the story, he broke down into tears.

Fitzgerald Bible These Bible pages are in possession of the John F. Kennedy
Presidential Library. This is the family of Rose Fitzgerald and
her family, and includes her marriage and the birth of her
children, including of course, the late President. Please check the scans or order the originals, and just use this
transcript as a guideline. The writing is VERY hard to read in
    places.
