Marlowe T. Williams' journal
Friday, February 14th, 2003 8:00 pm Boredom strikes.
Whenever I am sitting at home waiting for something to happen then I will take that opportunity to write here. So as it is there's this new bird I think I'm digging. Other then that I can't really say much as I barely know her but hopefully things will develop. Oh and it's Valentine's Day.. to me it just seems like any other day.. would be nice to spend it with someone but I'm not going to be bent out of shape because I'm not and I'm not going to blame it on anyone else.
Other then that musicwise.. got a jam going on tomorrow. One of the teachers gave me his email and told me to tell him if we are going to have one because he would come. That's cool because I sold him his guitar in the beginning of the school year and he's already bought like a Mesa Triple Rec. half stack which is insane. He used to play all through high school and nearly went to GIT but gave it up for years.
Music wise band.. Mike Keneally is flipping amazing as is his band Beer for Dolphins. THe new Nightingale is solid.. Current 93's folk-noire is rocking.
Other then that I got a part in my schools musical because I quit my job and haven't done drama since 10th grade.. so now I'll be Johnny Casino in Grease. Grease is such a fucking joke though. Is there a story because I didn't read one. I would have killed to have been able to do Jesus Christ Superstar.. it's so amazing musically.. and to be Murray Head or Ian Gillan would slay me.

1956 was a 'peak' year. Attingham had been open for eight years. New educational patterns and the college's character were by now clearly established. Times were changing in the world around: affluence, new technologies and social complexities were on their way. Yet crucial seeds for the future were planted at Attingham at this time, contributing to a new movement for world change which was to emerge in the mid-to-late 1960s. The college eventually closed in 1971.
