Criminal drug trafficking organizations are encouraged in this political environment. Criminal drug trafficking organizations, both foreign and local, represent the most serious supply and distribution sources in Oregon. These groups either manufacture, transport, and/or distribute large quantities of methamphetamine, black tar heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and designer drugs such as ecstasy (MDMA) in Oregon.

The PSU Geography Department was formed in 1946 and today consists of 11 faculty , about 80 undergraduate majors, and more than 50 graduate students.
