As I hope you could tell by now, weather photos are a specialty here. The Weather Gallery contains photos of tornado, hail, lightning, supercell, wall cloud, mesocyclone, thunderstorm, mammatus, lenticular, rotor and wave clouds, iridescence, sunset, rainbow, crepuscular rays, frost, snow, icicles, and icing.
Nature Gallery contains photos of trees (mostly aspen), flowers, insects, animals, natural, and Landscape Gallery contains photos of majestic mountains, sunsets, seascapes, aerial views. Many Landscape photos also fit the Weather category so be sure to check there for that sunset scenic.
Travel Gallery is rather small now and many photos fit other categories like shots of the Matterhorn in Switzerland (landscape). Thus far, my travels include Baltimore, Dallas, Montreal, San Diego, Phoenix, France, and Switzerland as well as a number of National Parks in Utah, Texas, and (of course) Colorado.

This gallery is a collection of some of my best photographs of weather and landscape-related matter, as well as some people-orientated digital photography relating to activities with some friends. The majority of the images here were taken on a Yashica 230AF SLR camera, using Fuji Sensia100 slide film, transferred to Photo-CD and saved here in reduced resolution in jpeg format. Some of the earlier images were scanned in from prints and are of slightly poorer quality. Some newer galleries are of digital camera images taken with a Sony DSC-S70. For best results, True-Colour (24-bit Graphics) is required. Viewing with any less-capable graphics card will result in the photos appearing grainy. The gallery is organised thematically into 16 sections which can be reached via the links in the table below. The basic idea: loft a camera into the sky above the burning man: take pictures from an unusual perspective. The camera, its motor drive, a Radio Shack CB radio, and some random glue electronics were strapped into a wooden crash box, which hung by a thin nylon string from a "8-foot diameter weather balloon" ordered from American Science and Surplus . Altitude was controlled by a tether attached between the balloon and the crate. Composing a photo was a chancy matter of observing the wind and walking around on the playa until the camera appeared to be pointing at something interesting.
